The Organ

Trinity's Organ ...

Trinity Episcopal Church's organ is a Casavant Frères from Saint-Hyacinthe, a city in Quebec, Canada. The Canadian company, founded in 1879, is one of the best known and most respected pipe organ builders in the world.

The organ was installed in the church in 1966 and was given by Brouwer and Jane McIntyre in memory of Mrs. McIntyre's parents.

Our Organist ...

Trinity's organist is Jonathan Chadwick Barton. In second grade, Mr. Barton started taking piano lessons. Organ lessons commenced in sixth grade after his aunt's sorority sister, Kathy Perkins, introduced him to the keyboard instrument. Two years later, he performed his first church service. In 2015, as an accomplished pianist and pipe organist, Mr. Barton began playing at Trinity. He later relocated to Houston, Texas. In 2020, upon moving back to Michigan, he returned as Trinity's organist. Mr. Barton provides music for all our worship services.
